What Our Prep Process Includes

Depending on the surface, prep can include washing down grease and grime, scraping loose or peeling paint, filling nail holes and small cracks, caulking gaps at trim and corners, and sanding glossy surfaces so new paint has something to grip.

Sanding for a Smooth Finish

We sand between coats where needed, especially on trim, doors, and cabinetry, to knock down any raised grain or brush marks before the final coat goes on. This step is what gives painted trim and cabinets that smooth, professional feel rather than a slightly rough or uneven texture.
